Angelita's Amigos is a volunteer, non-profit organization established in 1988 to honor the memory of Angela Grace Olivas. Angela fell Victim to Leukemia at the tender age of Four. Our organization is dedicated to the fight against this dreaded disease and any other form of cancer that attacks our children. Our goal is to help the families in our communities who have children affected by this disease. In 1999, our organization, in cooperation with St. Joseph's Hospital, established the 'Angelita's Amigos Room' in their pediatric ward. The 'family friendly' room provides necessities for the family and the child's comfort during the day, as well as overnight accommodations for loved ones to stay with their child while the child undergoes treatment . Each May, Angelita's Amigos hosts a one-day golf tournament to raise funds toward the organization's goals. Thanks to our participants and sponsors last year, our 15th annual golf tournament contributed $25,000 to St. Joseph's Hospital in memory of Angela. Through your help and donations, we can achieve our future goals for St Joseph's Hospital.
